Overview
CourseStream (powered by Mediasite) allows instructors to record audio, video, and anything shown during the live class session or recorded in advance by the instructor, such as PowerPoint presentations, software demonstrations, digital video clips, and document camera recordings. Some classrooms on campus are CourseStream-enabled and ready to record content directly in the classroom. Instructors can also use their own computers to record CourseStream content.
Recording in the classroom
Teachers interested in recording lectures in the classroom must work with their department academic office coordinator (AOC) to request to be scheduled in an equipped classroom. See here for more information on which rooms are equipped for CourseStream and classroom request deadlines.
Recording outside the classroom
Teachers interested in recording lectures from the comfort of their office or home can use the Desktop Recorder software to do so. For first time users, we recommend visiting AT Services (LIB 80) to get a brief in-person tutorial. However, teachers may get started on their own by following this guide to download and install the Desktop Recorder.
