Requires Teacher role
iLearn has two ways of adding text to a class page, either by editing a Section summary or by adding a Label. A Section summary is useful when describing the content for a particular week and will always appear at the top of the section. A Label is good for adding arbitrary text to an iLearn course page to describe specific items and can be rearranged amongst other resources/activities.
To edit a Section summary:
- From the course page, in the upper right corner, select the Edit icon (⚙) and select Turn editing on.
- Locate the section you wish to edit and to the right of the section name, select Edit and Edit section.
- In the Summary field, enter your desired text. You can use any of iLearn's formatting tools, including adding a video using the iLearn Video button.
Note: You can also change the name of the section by unmarking the Use default section name checkbox and typing in your own section name.
- Select the Save changes button.
To add a Label:
- From the course page, in the upper right corner, select the Edit icon (⚙) and select Turn editing on.
- In the week/section you want to add the label, select the +Add an activity button.
- In the menu list, under Resources, select Label and the Add button.
- In the Label text field, enter your desired text.
- You can use any of iLearn's formatting tools, including adding a video using the iLearn Video button.
- Select the Save changes button.
