Sometimes you will need to reference your Node ID to link to your pages internally.
In Drupal, all content items (like a web page) are considered nodes and each node is a unique ID. By linking to the Node ID, even if you move the location of the page or change the title, this link will still work.
- Navigate the to the content whose Node ID you want to locate.
- Hover your mouse over one of the tabs. In this example, we are hovering over “Edit” but any of the remaining tabs will work.
- With your mouse hovered over one of the tabs, look at the bottom-left corner of your browser. You’ll see the URL for the link which contains the Node ID. In this example, the Node ID is 147.
- You can now reference internal links using your Node ID. Instead of relying on the page title of a URL you can use node/#.
