Use the Label tool to put text and images directly on the page
- Common ways teachers use the Label tool:
- Create to-do lists for your students
- Give more information or instructions about activities and resources in iLearn
- Add images to your page
- Organize by topics, due dates, file types
- Add tools in the text editor (e.g. headings, bold, color) to organize the information on your course page

Use section headers to make courses easier to navigate
- Common ways teachers use the section headers:
- Sort section by week or topic
- Create a Table of Contents for your course in the left-side drawer that students can use to navigate
- Don’t forget to edit Section 0 (welcome to the course, course information, etc)
- How to edit a section header:
- From the course page, in the upper-right corner, select the Edit icon (⚙) and select Turn editing on
- In the week/section you want to edit the section header, select the Edit text icon (
)
- Type your section header and select Enter or Return on your keyboard
Use Move right/left to indent activities/resources and create clear hierarchy
- Common ways teachers use move right/left:
- Show relationships between text on your page (e.g. to-do lists, instructions) and activities and resources
- Create categories or sub-sections within a section
- How to move an item right or left:
- From the Course page, in the upper-right corner, select the Edit icon (⚙) and select Turn editing on
- Next to the item you want to move, select Edit and choose Move right or Move left.
Use a forum in the welcome block of your course (Section 0) to create a space for students to ask questions
- Common ways teachers use this forum
- Create a live course FAQ
- Provide a space where students can answer each other’s questions about the course

Be consistent!
- Create a weekly routine/structure for your iLearn course that repeats
- Consistent structure reduces the cognitive load for your students so they can focus on learning course content and not how to navigate your iLearn course
