Requires teacher access
Curving a grade in iLearn allows teachers to change the maximum value of a graded item without changing the amount of points a student received.
Example
If you have a quiz called Quiz 1 worth 100 points and Student A received an 80/100, they get an 80%. Using the curve feature of the gradebook, you can change the max value of Quiz 1 to 80. Student A would now have an 80/80, or 100%.
To curve a grade in the gradebook
- Navigate to the gradebook and select the Setup tab
- Locate the item you wish to curve and select Edit > Edit settings
- Select Show more...
- Mark the Perform Curve To checkbox and type your new curve value in Curve To
- Select Save changes at the bottom of the page
