iLearn provides instructors with a few different reports that can help keep track of a student's activity through an iLearn class. Logs in iLearn provide a window into what items a student has interacted with, when the interaction happened, and what sort of action was taken. The data can be viewed by student, by date, or by activity.

Report types
iLearn has five different report types: Logs, live logs, activity report, course participation, and activity completion. Each provides a different perspective on activity within an iLearn course. Reports are found by selecting More from the gear wheel menu on the main page of any iLearn course, and then scrolling down to Reports.
Logs
The main Logs report is an unfiltered view into every action taken by course participants. Every click, access, submission, or interaction by course participants is logged. To view logs, select the Get these logs button.
Logs can also be filtered by Participant, Date, or Activity using the respective drop down menus.
A log is shown as below. From left to right:
- the date and time of the action
- the name of the participant (censored in the screenshot)
- the name of the activity within iLearn
- what type of activity it is
- the action that was performed
- specific details for the action
- whether it was done on the web or via the mobile app
- and the IP address where the action was performed from (censored in the screenshot).
Each activity type in iLearn has its own actions that show in the logs. In general, simply clicking on an item indicates interaction and is logged.
Note: If all you are checking for is whether a student accessed a course, check for a log similar to the following screenshot, where Course viewed is the action.
Live logs
Live logs appear the same as logs for activity within the past hour. However, live logs will update on the fly as actions happen.
Activity report
The activity report is an anonymized report that simply shows how many times an activity has been interacted with. This is useful in cases where you would want to check whether anyone in the course has interacted with a particular item and see which activities and resources are the most used and when they were last accessed by anyone. The filter section at the top allows you to filter by date range.
Course participation
The course participation report gives a breakdown of who has interacted with an activity. To view the report, begin by selecting an activity from the drop down menu and selecting Go.
Activity completion
The activity completion report allows instructors to view the completion status of all students for all items that have activity completion enabled. This report only appears if you have activity completion enabled in your course.
