Once you have made your request and have received confirmation, you can follow these steps to record in the classroom.
Recording will start automatically at the beginning of your class and end at the scheduled end time of your class. There's a green light above the AV console that will light up when you are being recorded. Green means "Go".
Audio
Microphones are located in the drawer of the AV console. Take out a microphone and wear it either using the supplied neck strap or clip it onto your shirt. When you take the microphone out of the charger it will briefly flash multiple colors then start flashing a steady color. Flashing red means its muted. Flashing green means it is on. To unmute the microphone, press the button on the front of the mic. You'll be able to hear yourself in the room. Volume control for the mic is located on the console on the knob labelled "Mic".
Camera
To see what the camera sees you'll need to turn on the confidence monitor. There is a remote in the same drawer as the mics, and you can use it to turn on the confidence monitor which is mounted on the ceiling near the projector. You don't need to have the monitor on to record video, but it is helpful to see where you are in the frame.
To control the camera's position, press the "Camera" button on the AV console. The four directional arrows will light up. You can use the arrows to move the camera around to where you like or you can press one of the four buttons around the arrows to choose one of the presets.
Screen
Anything you show on the projector screen will be automatically recorded as its own feed. You do not need to point the camera at the screen as that is recorded separately.
Providing the recordings to your class:
Once the class is over it can take about however long your class was for the video to finish processing. For example, if your class is an hour long, it'll take about an hour for it to be ready to play back.
