Canvas Survey
AnsweredHello, AT,
Does our Canvas have a survey tool like iLearn's Choice, please?
My courses need these survey options:
- Publish results: "Show results to students after they answer"
- Privacy of results: "Publish anonymous results, do not show student names"
The "Ungraded Survey" tool currently offered by our Canvas's Quiz does not provide the options we are looking for.
Thank you.
Best,
Duc

If the ungraded quiz activity is insufficient, you should use qualtrics instead. Canvas does not have a one to one equivalent of the Choice activity.

Hi Duc,
Rose here (CHEM/PHYS 685). I've used a few Qualtrics surveys and I believe there is an option in Qualtrics to set up a targeted distribution list. I would try downloading a csv of the students' emails from the Prerequisite Roster, then uploading that as a distribution list.
Cristian, does that sound like it would work?

Heather-Rose: That would work if you're using Qualtrics.
I've had a bit of time to think about this over the weekend. While Canvas doesn't automatically show the results, you do have the ability to show the results of the survey manually as the teacher. If you click on the link to the quiz/ungraded survey, in the three dots menu next to the edit button there's an option to show the results to students.

Thank you, Cristian.
I saw the "Show/Hide Student Survey Results."
In "Student View," I tried to see what the Survey Results looked like. It showed only the result of that one student, not of all students. I hope this was because I had only one trial student. Would you mind sharing a complete demo, please? Thank you.
Best,
Duc
