How to add Turnitin Assignment grades to Canvas gradebook

  Turnitin will only transmit grades if you set it up as a Canvas assignment with the submission type being external tool, as shown in the Turnitin guide for Canvas. If it was not set up this way, grades have no way of automatically being transmitted back from Turnitin to Canvas.

  You might have to download a csv of the grades from Turnitin and then upload that csv to your Canvas gradebook.   Canvas is picky about table row headers. 

  This is the correct header row (find your section in your People tab):

  Student	SIS ID	SIS User ID	SIS Login ID	Section	Name of assignment in gradebook (points or score)
  First Name Last Name	123456789	student@sfsu.edu	123456789	CHEM-0115-E3-Fall-2022	5
