How do I upload a profile picture

This is my first time on Canvas in a long time and I tried to upload a profile picture onto my Canvas account. What format should the photo be in so I can upload the profile picture successfully because I tried HEIC, PNG and JPG - all of them were unsuccessful.

  Profile pictures can be JPG, GIF or PNG files. I would try to make sure the file you're trying to upload isn't super massive as the resulting profile pictures on the actual website are pretty small.
