Uploading video
AnsweredHi, i have successfully uploaded a video to canvas. I used the same method I have used for all other files and it was very straightforward - currently students can download the video. Is there a way to stop that and just allow viewing by streaming directly from the Canvas site?
thanks

The intended way of sharing video in Canvas is to use either iLearn video or Mediasite. Both of those will convert the video to a web streamable format and are not downloadable. Uploading video files to Canvas directly will impact your storage on your course as every course has a 2GB overall file storage limit whereas uploading to either of those two services will not impact your storage footprint.

Thanks, I've made that change and uploaded the video to Mediasite. Students can now stream it via the link on 'Pages', and I also copied the link and made it available via the main module page (as an external URL) where the other course documents are so all the learning materials can be accessed from one place.
Thanks again for your help!
