How to undo or uncombine cross-listed courses?

I often combine sections or cross-list them as Canvas calls it, for simple management. But at the end of the semester, this can make grading difficult.

Is there a way to "uncombine", undo, or reverse a cross-listed class in Canvas?

  You cannot uncombine the courses without losing grade data since all of the submissions and grades will be in the combined course. The gradebook provides some filters you can use instead. If you go to the gradebook, the “apply filters” button will let you filter by section.
