I had a student this semester who used the iLearn class Participants list to copy all of the names and then paste them into Outlook to email everyone in the class about a non-class-related issue. I would like to be able to block students' ability to view the Participants list if there is no specific class need for them to navigate through there. "Participants" would be a separate level of access that has to be made available by the instructor, beyond access to the course. Instructors can decide if their class/pedagogy requires students to navigate through the Participants list or not. Students would still see one another's names in the Forums, but could not easily copy and paste a list of all student names for their own purposes.
