TA role

I would like to have a role for students who are helping out with a class as either formal or informal TAs, with some but not all the permissions of a teacher (this is an option in Moodle more generally). Ideally, it would be nice to specify particular permissions by class, but for instance, I'd like them to be able to take attendance, rate forum postings, and post to instructor-only forums, but not edit the site or the gradebook.

  A non-grading TA role has been added to iLearn beginning in courses in the Fall 2020 semester.

  I completely agree!  Some form of a in between Instructor and TA/Grader role, where it allows Instructor to Restrict or Give Access based on that role.
