I teach large chemistry classes. A huge chunk of unpaid labor I have done in our move to online teaching is transcribing exams into iLearn quizzes. I have tried using textbook question banks, but their question banks are all multiple choice and not in AIKEN format. It is actually faster for me to copy and paste a new multiple choice question into the iLearn question bank than to format the textbook's questions in AIKEN and then import them. Plus multiple choice is a terrible way to evaluate students and does not give me any option other than shuffle to randomize the questions. I like the 'calculated multiple choice' question types and the CLOZE question types. Is it possible for AT to hire someone to either transcribe exams, or write a lot more templates of these question types? Especially lacking are templates from an upper division STEM perspective, such as calculations involving log, antilog, sqrt, scientific notation, and ICE tables.
