Migrating from iLearn to Canvas
AnsweredI followed the instructions in the following link to migrate a Fall 2021 course to my sandbox:
https://canvas.rutgers.edu/documentation/migration/moodle-to-canvas-instructions/
First impressions are:
1. I have to recreate all the zoom meetings
2. All the PowerPoint Slides and PDF's were migrated successfully,
3. External links have to be edited to open in a new window!!!
4. All assignments trasfered correctly.

Thank you for your feedback. The Zoom thing is known, there's not going to be any way around that as the way the Zoom integration works in Canvas is vastly different from the integration we're using in iLearn.
There's going to be a few other things that will need tweaks when they're moved over from iLearn into Canvas as not everything has a one to one equivalent, but your experience is what we're expecting in the majority of cases.
We also have a contract with a vendor who is currently processing all current iLearn courses to prepare them for migration into Canvas and they're going to be doing a lot of the heavy lifting for those cases, but we'll have more information on that process once we get our batch of sample converted courses back from them.
