Hello, is there a Quickmail feature in Canvas like how iLearn does? If not, are there similar ways I can send emails to a large group of students? Thank You!

  The recommended way of sending a message to the class as a whole is to use the Announcements feature in your Canvas course. Unlike iLearn’s announcement feature which uses a forum, Canvas announcements directly plug in to the platform’s messaging system, pushing to email and to the Canvas student app on mobile, as well as a notification on the website itself.

  Will students eventually receive an email on their outlook, or they will have to install the student app in order to receive announcements?

  All of the above. By default Canvas messages go to email AND the app simultaneously.
