How do I import my quiz questions from iLearn into Canvas?
AnsweredI have my Canvas courses about 95% set up (which took many hours to do), and I've created quizzes, but my Canvas quizzes are currently empty, with no questions.
How do I import quiz questions from iLearn?
I can see that there is a way to export iLearn quiz questions, but what file format option do I want? How do I do this, aside from retyping all of my quiz questions?

Canvas and iLearn do not have a common question format between the two systems so you cannot export and import JUST quiz questions. Normally I’d recommend copying the whole course over but since you’ve already started work, you can make a backup of the specific quiz or quizzes and copy the content over that way.
We have a guide for copying one activity between two iLearn courses, but you can follow this guide up to step 2: https://athelp.sfsu.edu/hc/en-us/articles/360044727194-Copying-a-single-activity-from-one-course-into-another-courseOnce you have the .mbz file on your computer, you can follow the general guide to importing a course from iLearn to Canvas, remembering that your back file only contains the one quiz you want: https://athelp.sfsu.edu/hc/en-us/articles/5690090704915-Manually-importing-content-from-iLearn-to-Canvas

On the quiz front we're actively testing Canvas' New Quizzes module to see if it solves some of these pain points. We'll have more information on this once we complete our testing.
As for custom developing something, I'm not going to say "no" because you never know, but right at this particular moment our internal development resources are quite constrained. We'll see what the future holds in this case, though.
