saving old courses (Pre-2020-22) in Canvas
AnsweredCourses prior to AY 2021-22 were not part of the recent translation by an outside vendor. We are supposed to save older courses from Ilearn as zip files on our computers by October 1. Is it possible to provide Canvas shells to transfer these courses into, as unpublished courses so that all the courses we typically teach are at least on Canvas in some shape or form?

Canvas can natively import iLearn's .mbz backup files. If there's a course you are trying to keep long term that you are not going to teach in a while or don't know when you're going to teach it next, it's probably going to be better to keep the actual .mbz backup file either on your computer or uploaded to your Box account rather than creating a shell in Canvas just to keep the course in and dormant.
If you're actively working on a course for an upcoming semester, you can request a sandbox by emailing at@sfsu.edu.
