A question bank allows teachers to organize and reuse questions across multiple quizzes in Canvas.

Note: Having a question bank or question groups is a prerequisite for shuffling and randomizing questions in a quiz.

Create a question bank

1. Select Quizzes in the course navigation on the left
2. From the three dots menu, select Manage Question Banks
3. Select + Add Question Bank
4. Give your bank a name, then press Enter (return on a Mac)

Create questions in a question bank

1. Select the bank you just created
2. Select + Add Question
3. Create your question as desired. This is the same format as creating a question in a quiz.
