This document is for faculty or staff who may have received upgrade notification regarding a university-provided macOS laptop.

These instructions are for macOS version prior to macOS 13 (Ventura).

 

1. On your mac, click the Apple menu in the upper-left corner of the screen:

2. Click System Preferences...

 

3. In the System Preferences application, click Software Update:

 

4. Click the Upgrade Now button to upgrade to the latest version of macOS for your computer:
