Khanmigo is a set of curated AI tools developed by Khan Academy. These tools are available to teachers within Canvas through a partnership between Khan Academy and Instructure.

Teachers can add Khanmigo tools to any course within Canvas. Only people with teacher permissions will see these tools.

To add the Khanmigo tools

1. Navigate to a course you are teaching within Canvas
2. Select Settings in course navigation
3. Select the Navigation tab at the the top of the screen
4. Scroll down and find the entry for Khanmigo. In the three dots menu, select Enable
5. Save your changes

To use the Khanmigo tools

1. In your Canvas course, select Khanmigo from the course navigation
2. The first time you use the tools you will be prompted to sign up and create an account
   
3. Create your account using your SFSU email. This is important so that your Canvas account and your Khanmigo account are linked
4. After your account is linked, select the tool you wish to use from the list. Each tool presents a slightly different workflow to accomplish the stated task.
